What is the TRANSPARENT COMMAND?

TRANSPARENT COMMAND is an advanced feature designed to support tag’s future functions and chip vendors’ customized tag functions.
In TRANSPARENT COMMAND, the reader acts as a RF CODEC engine. It receives data from the host, encapsulates the data according to ISO15693 protocol, sends the package to tag, receives the signal echoed from tag, decodes the signals and returns the data to the host. For example, NXP(former PHILIPS) ICODE2 tag’s customized EAS function can be supported through TRANSPARENT COMMAND.
